Melt and Pour Soap is Easy to Make

If you want to get started making your own soap, glycerin melt and pour soap is the easiest to do. It comes out very clear which gives you almost unlimited choices in colors and designs to put into it.

Be sure to choose a manufacturer who makes a top quality melt and pour base. It will preferably contain organic palm and coconut oils. When you make this yourself, you’re probably looking for some type of quality control so this isn’t the place to scrimp on the cheapest product. You want the real saponified oils – not chemicals!

You can put almost any scent into the base product while you have it heated. Combine them into your own favorites. To make a soap with a fragrance that will cling to you after you bathe, use extra essential oils in it. Also, the better the quality of your scents, the longer they will last.

A good glycerin soap base will be clear and smell good even before you add any additional scents. You can find them as transparent or opaque white.

The fun part of M&P soapmaking is creating the shapes. You can pour it into a mold, slice it or even cut it with cookie cutters. Make sure the brand of base you use doesn’t set up really, really quickly. You do need a bit of time to work with it.

How much fun would it be to make soaps like this as gifts or even as decorations for your Christmas tree? There’s just no limit to the ways you can create with this simple method of making natural soap.
